Millennium quilt inspired by the inner workings of an inherited fob watch. Pieced points and curves with added applique and embroidery. Entry at the National Patchwork Championships at Olympia in 1999, and at Quilts UK 2000. Featured in 'The Quilter's Guide to Pictorial Quilts' by Maggi McCormick Gordon.

Designed as a black & white quilt, where colour crept in during the sewing. 3rd place in the Theme category at the Scottish Championships at Perth 1999. Featured in the book: `Dutch Flower Pots'.


HIGH WATER IN THE POLDER - October 1998 - 56x74 inches(140x185cms) 

Entry in First Horizon, Spring Quilt Fairs 1999 and used on the posters, flyers and adverts for these events.

CUTTING THE ROSE - August 1998 - 50x67 inches(125x168cms) 

Made for Quilters' Newsletter Magazine's Expressions of Freedom contest,50 years since the Declaration of Human Rights. This quilt was made as a protest against the practice of female circumcision. Now in the collection of The International Quilt Study Center, Lincoln, Nebraska.

SPINNING WHEEL  - November 1998 - 66x66 inches(165x165cms.)

4th place winner in the MAQS contest: New Quilts from an Old Favorite: Kaleidoscope. One huge Kaleidoscope block, with the main templates divided into curved, pieced sections.
